1. Surveying Client Internet Practices. We review client websites, their policies and their collection, storing and sharing of information practices, identifying potential liability under industry-specific and other laws designed to protect consumers and their information online. Our goal is to help clients determine whether their privacy, disclosure and security actions and practices are appropriate and sufficient both for their industry and jurisdiction.
2. Designing Compliance Programs. We help clients apply the latest legal standards, industry self-regulation and best practices to their website privacy and security practices. We design new and refine existing compliance programs which may include internal policies, website policies and other public disclosures, privacy and security programs that are consistent with those policies, practice manuals, and security protocols for collecting, sharing and storing information.
3. Extending Best Practices. We also help clients incorporate privacy obligations into their contracts and licenses, and create and update website privacy statements that anticipate future use.
